Velodaria, Colle Sereno

Velodaria is another excellent Organic wine from Colle Sereno. A Chardonnay led blend the grapes are hand-harvested before being destemmed and allow to spend some time going through cold maceration before fermentation. Like their other white wine, Diciottopenne, they allow the wine to rest on lees for 4 months before bottling to introduce more complex flavours into the final wine.

The final wine has strong floral & blossom notes supporting by citrus flavours, especially orange peel. The wine also has aromas of tropical fruits, not uncommon from Chardonnay’s produced from warmer regions. All this gives a rounded body making it suitable for pairing with chicken dishes and medium cheeses.
