Vine & Soul was started in 2020 by Ewa & Scott, a couple who, after leaving their London jobs to go travelling, found themselves putting down roots in the small Italian region of Molise.
Unsurprisingly the beautiful weather, incredible wine, quality food and welcoming people led to them spending more of their time in Italy. With this came the discovery of what the region had to offer.
They decided to try combining their passions for great wine, quality food and good health. As a certified Yoga instructor Ewa was able to provide a wealth of knowledge about health while Scott, being WSET certified could cover the wine.
Il Molise Esiste!
As Italy’s second smallest region and also it’s youngest Molise is often overlooked by Italy and the rest of the world. A hidden region of Italy located at its very heart. A common phrase within Italy is Il Molise Non Esiste (Molise doesn’t exist). At Vine & Soul, we aim to change this view and bring the food, wine & culture of this small region to the wider world.
We believe in the old maxim “Everything in Moderation, even moderation”. We look to bring together our passions for quality food & good health while also still enjoying a bottle of wine with friends (it can be done!).
Quality over Quantity
Here at Vine & Soul, we try to focus on smaller local producers that are quality minded, who adopt sustainable methods and best represent what their region has to offer. We love to tell their story & history, showing how the products you enjoy have come to be. Mass-produced products have their place but we want to provide access to food, wines and producers who you may not find anywhere else in the UK.
We have partnered with a number of local companies to offer unique travel experiences throughout South Italy. Whether you’re looking to visit our producers’ vineyards, take part in a sunset yoga class overlooking the Italian countryside or organise a weeks retreat, we can help. We’ve partnered with local Agriturismos to create exclusive yoga & wine tasting retreats available to book now.
As part of finding products to source and producers to work with, we try to educate ourselves about the benefit of different production methods and also the history of our producers. We love to share this information with our customers and the public at large in an effort to increase understanding of how small changes in production can have a big impact on the final products.
