Redinotte, Colle Sereno
An organic wine Redinotte is made using 100% Montepulciano, hand-harvested from slopes at 400-600 meters above sea level. Fermentation occurs over 8-10 days with regular pumping over to produce a deeper ruby colour and extract as much flavour as possible. The wine is then matured for 4 months in stainless steel before moving to oak for a further 4 – 12 months.
Redinotte is a medium to full-bodied red with a wonderful combination of fruit flavours such as plum and black cherry all sitting on a structure of cedar and smoke flavours from the oak. The ageing also provides an earthy foundation. On the palate, you get even more fruit flavours coming through this time red fruit and cherries.
A great wine to have with or without food and one of our regular go-to wines when we’re looking for a well-priced quality red to sip at the end of a long day.
