Militum Christi (Reserva), Cianfagna

A wine for those lovers of full-bodied reds. This wine was created out of Vincenzo’s passion for Aglianico and it comes through. Only made as a riserva from late harvest grapes the wine spends time ageing in Stainless steel and French Oak which imparts hints of vanilla and also softens the tannins.

The wine itself presents as a deep garnet with powerful aromas of cherries, blackcurrant & preserved fruits. Under this burst of fruit flavours, there is a foundation of cedar notes and baking spices. A complex wine we can happily sit an smell for hours before even tasting. On the palate, the tannins are wonderfully integrated and the alcohol balanced by the intense flavours.

A wine to drink slowly and savour. One of our favourites.
